Employment Qualifications. Each Employee must meet the requirements of applicable law and administrative rules for the current position he/she holds as well as Board requirements as summarized in “C” below. Failure to meet any such requirement will cause the Employee’s contract to become null and void immediately.

Employment Qualifications. (a) In relation to employment within UFV, it lies with the Employer to determine whether a candidate for first employment, or an existing employee, has the skills, qualifications and abilities which are required to assume a position and perform the tasks involved in that position. This determination by the Employer will arise in a variety of employment circumstances, including the filling of vacancies on a temporary or permanent basis, promotions, transfers, substitutions, return from long term disability leave, and in connection with layoff, recall and bumping.

Employment Qualifications. Except as provided in Section 505 of the Code, the PSA shall employ, or contract with a management company as provided under Section 9.02 which employs, classroom teachers, paraprofessionals and other personnel who meet the certification and other requirements under state and federal law. Employment Qualifications. 27-A Certification materials including college credentials, valid teaching certificate, and official transcript of records must be filed with the Superintendent of Schools by all new teachers not later than October 15, of the initial year of employment. Failure to comply may result in termination of employment unless the requirement is temporarily waived by the Superintendent for individual teachers requesting such waiver. 27-B All teachers shall have on file with the Superintendent of Schools a valid up to date Michigan Teacher Certificate in order to retain their employment status with the School District. In addition, pre-school teachers shall be required to have a valid ZA endorsement as specified by State grant. 27-C New teachers shall have evidence of freedom from tuberculosis (x-ray or skin test) on file with the Superintendent of Schools prior to fifteen (15) days after the beginning of their employment. Regular teachers shall have evidence of tuberculin tests on file in the Superintendent’s office prior to fifteen (15) days after the beginning of school in the year that such test is required. The Board shall reimburse the cost of the TB test up to a maximum of the current rate established by the Kent County Health Department upon proof of payment by the teacher. If after warning, the teacher fails to comply with this qualification within ten (10) days it may result in suspension form employment without pay.
