Employment of Apprentices. 1. Where either the prime AGREEMENT or the subagreement exceeds thirty thousand dollars ($30,000), the CONSULTANT and any subconsultants under him or her shall comply with all applicable requirements of Labor Code §§ 1777.5, 1777.6 and 1777.7 in the employment of apprentices.

Employment of Apprentices a. Where any contract or the subcontract exceeds $30,000, the Construction Manager and any subcontractors under him or her shall comply with all applicable requirements of Labor Code sections 1777.5, 1777.6 and 1777.7 in the employment of apprentices.
Employment of Apprentices. Contractor shall comply with Labor Code §§1773.3, 1777.5 and 1777.6, and 3077 et. seq., each of which is incorporated by reference into this Contract. These sections require that contractors and subcontractors employ apprentices in apprenticeable occupations in a ratio of not less than one (1) hour of apprentice work for every five (5) hours of labor performed by a journeyman, unless an exception is granted and that Contractors and Subcontractors shall not discriminate against otherwise qualified employees as apprentices on any public works solely on the ground of actual or perceived race, religion, color, national origin, ethnic group identification, sex, gender, sexual orientation, age, or physical or mental disability. Only apprentices who are in training under written apprenticeship occupations shall be employed. The responsibility for compliance with these provisions for all apprenticeable occupations rests with Contractor.
Employment of Apprentices. A. In addition to the requirement that Contractor provide a Skilled and Trained Workforce as provided for in Section 7.B., above, Contractor’s attention is directed to the provisions of Sections 1777.5, 1777.6, and 1777.7 of the California Labor Code concerning employment of apprentices by Contractor or any Subcontractor under him. In addition, Contractor shall obtain a certificate of apprenticeship before employing any apprentice pursuant to Sections 1777.5, 1777.6, and 1777.7 of the California Labor Code.

Any subcontract entered into as a result of this contract, if for more than $25,000 for public works construction or more than $15,000 for the alteration, demolition, repair, or maintenance of public works, shall contain all of the provisions of this Paragraph 21.

Employment of Apprentices. This Agreement shall not prevent the employment of properly indentured apprentices in accordance with the California Labor Code, and no employer or labor union shall refuse to accept otherwise qualified employees as indentured apprentices on the work performed hereunder solely on the ground of race, creed, national origin, ancestry, color or sex. Every qualified apprentice shall be paid the standard wage paid to apprentices under the regulations of the craft or trade in which he or she is employed and shall be employed only in the craft or trade to which he or she is registered. If California Labor Code Section 1777.5 applies to the Services, Consultant and any subcontractor hereunder who employs workers in any apprenticeable craft or trade shall apply to the joint apprenticeship council administering applicable standards for a certificate approving Consultant or any sub-consultant for the employment and training of apprentices. Upon issuance of this certificate, Consultant and any sub-consultant shall employ the number of apprentices provided for therein, as well as contribute to the fund to administer the apprenticeship program in each craft or trade in the area of the work hereunder. The parties expressly understand that the responsibility for compliance with provisions of this Section and with Sections 1777.5, 1777.6 and 1777.7 of the California Labor Code in regard to all apprenticeable occupations lies with Consultant.
Employment of Apprentices. The employment of apprentices shall not be prohibited as long as the Employer remains qualified to train ap- prentices. The Joint Apprenticeship Committee is to be the sole judge of said Employer qualification. No ap- prentice shall perform work on any job unless he is under the direct supervision of a qualified journeyman sheet metal worker, nor shall he be assigned by his em- ployer to work on a job in the jurisdiction of another local union.
Employment of Apprentices. Contractor's attention is directed to the provisions in Section 1777.5 and 1777.6 of the Labor Code concerning the employment of apprentices by the Contractor or any subcontractor under the Contractor. It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to effectuate compliance on the part of itself and any subcontractors with the requirements for employment of apprentices. Information relative to apprenticeship standards, wage schedules, and other requirements may be obtained from the Director of Industrial Relations, ex-officio the Administrator of Apprenticeship, San Francisco, California, or from the Division of Apprenticeship Standards and its branch offices.
