Employees Defined. A. The term employee or employees as used in this agreement shall refer to full-time paid employees assigned to the following classifications: 1. Firefighter/EMT or Paramedic 2. Lieutenant 3. Captain B. Any officer holding the rank of Chief, Assistant Chief, and the position of Secretary shall be excluded from the bargaining unit. C. All references to firefighters and officers shall include both genders (male and female); wherever the male gender is used it shall be construed to include male and female employees.
