Employee Safety and Health. PHYSICAL EXAMINATIONS The Board will make arrangements with a qualified physician(s) to administer physical examinations to all support employees for whom a physical examination or physical agility test is required by virtue of their positions. The Board will determine both time and place for these examinations. Support employees who are not present at the predetermined place at the designated time, without permission from their immediate supervisor, will be responsible for producing the required physical at his/her own expense. Medical information such as that obtained in the course of a physical examination, when available to the School District will be maintained in a separate file independent of the employee's personnel file.
Employee Safety and Health. The parties agree that the safety and health of its employees are of primary concern. The parties also believe that good safety and health practices are in the best interest of the public as well as the employees. To this end the parties will continue to promote awareness for safe and healthy work habits and attitudes, promote awareness of health hazards and promote the adherence to applicable laws, safety rules and regulations. Since this is a primary concern of both the City and Association, a Safety and Health Committee will be formed. This committee shall consist of two representatives from the City and two representatives from the Association. The Committee shall meet once a month to discuss Safety and Health issues, if needed, but at least once a quarter. Recommendations from the Committee would go through the Chain of Command to the City Manager. SAFETY AND HEALTH MEETINGS The parties including the employees will bring hazardous conditions that exist in the work place to the attention of the other party. The parties will meet at mutually agreed upon times and places to discuss safety and health Issues of mutual concern.
Employee Safety and Health. The Employer and the Union shall cooperate in continuing the objective to eliminate accidents and health hazards at its site during the hours of employment and in ac- cordance with federal, state, and local law. In complying with this objective, the Un- ion and the Employer recognize that employees covered hereby are performing ser- vices for the U.S. Government in U.S. Government facilities and by use of U.S. Gov- ernment equipment and fixtures. Unless extended by the mutual agreement of all members of the Committee, each meeting of the Committee shall be limited to a duration of one (1) hours. Employee Safety and Health. 26.4 Effective November 10, 2012, The company agrees to reimburse each employee who is required to wear safety shoes up to $100.00 annually for the purchase of approved safety shoes. In any position in which the Company requires two (2) sets of safety shoes, the Company will reimburse the employee for both sets of shoes. Effective May 18, 2016, the Company will provide a vendor to come onsite for shoe purchases. Employees will be required to utilize the vendor and will be credited with the allowance above. That portion will be billed to the Company and the employee will be responsible for any amounts in excess of the allowance. Effective May 18, 2016, the Company will reimburse each employee required to wear prescription safety glasses up to $100.00 annually. If there is a significant change in an employees prescription verified by a physician, the employee may request an advance purchase of glasses. Safety shoes and glasses will meet ANSI standards.

If an on-the-job injury or accident occurs, the procedure is for the employee to contact his/her immediate supervisor and/or xxxxxxx as soon as possible for necessary information. All employees of the Bremerton School District are entitled to coverage under the District's worker’s compensation plan, in conformance with state law, provided the criteria for such are met. Such compensation may include wages, ambulance costs, medical, dental, eyeglasses, therapy, etc.
