This Agreement does not in any way diminish these rights. The Parties recognize the benefit of keeping new graduates in New Brunswick. The Parties further recognize the challenges associated with new graduates having the relevant training but not the experience required to qualify for Deputy Sheriff positions. The Parties intend to resolve this issue by entering into this Agreement which will provide the Employer flexibility to consider and hire candidates with less experience than what is normally required to qualify for the position of Deputy Sheriff (ASL 4). This Agreement will allow the Employer to progress employees through the ASL series as experience on the job is gained. The Parties agree as follows:
