Common use of Emeritus Status Clause in Contracts

Emeritus Status. The parties agree to incorporate the present BOR policy as it pertains to the CSU universities within the Connecticut State University system into the parties’ respective CBAs. Emeritus status maybe awarded to a professional staff member by the Board of Regents upon recommendation of the President or President of the Connecticut State Colleges and Universities, as appropriate. Persons eligible for emeritus status must have retired from state service with at least fifteen years of service to the college/system. A President or the President of the Connecticut State Colleges and Universities may, however, request that the Board waive these minimum requirements in exceptional circumstances. The following are the privileges and benefits of emeritus status: (1) formal announcement to professional staff and public; (2) separate listing in the college catalog;
