Emergency Communications Center. The parties recognize the challenges associated with optimal staffing in the Communications Center environment. In view of these challenges the parties have agreed that the options for hours of work will be established that will ensure continuity of service, optimal staffing and improved morale. Hours of work for bargaining unit Emergency Communications Center (ECC) personnel shall be an average of forty-two (42) hours per week and shall primarily be four (4) twelve (12) hour shift periods with four (4) consecutive days off. Emergency Communications Center. It is the intent of the Emergency Communications Center to provide breaks to dispatchers per Article 10.1 Rest Period above. Employees working twelve (12) hour shifts shall be granted a rest period, of no less than ten (10) minutes, during each four (4) hours of work. Dispatchers or Supervisors who request and are denied in writing the ability to take at least one (1) break in an eight (8) hour shift or two (2) breaks in a twelve (12) hour shift shall be eligible to receive Break Pay Compensation as outlined below:  Communications Dispatcher I $19.50 per shift  Communications Dispatcher II $22.50 per shift  Shift Supervisor $25.00 per shift  Operations Supervisor $27.00 per shift Furthermore, employees scheduled and required to be at their workstations for eight (8) or more consecutive work hours shall have their meal during work hours.

  • Emergency Services The parties recognize that in the event of a strike or lockout, situations may arise of an emergency nature. To this end, the Employer and the Union will agree to provide services of an emergency nature.

  • Emergency Situations If the condition is an emergency, this will be communicated to the Contractor with the request that corrections are to be accomplished immediately. The Contractor shall respond to the notice in emergency situations within twenty-four hours. If the Contractor fails to respond within this time limit, the Owner may correct the defect and charge the Contractor for the Work. If it is determined the complaint is not the responsibility of the Contractor, the Contractor shall be promptly paid for the cost of the corrective work. The Contractor shall give notice in writing to the Owner when corrections have been completed.
