Elastic License Sample Clauses
The Elastic License is a software license that governs the use, distribution, and modification of software developed by Elastic, such as Elasticsearch and Kibana. It typically allows users to access and use the software for free, but restricts certain activities like offering the software as a service or redistributing it in a commercial context without permission. This clause is designed to protect Elastic's commercial interests while still enabling open access for many users, ensuring that the company retains control over how its software is monetized and distributed.
