EI REBATE. 1. The employer shall remit monthly to the BCTF Salary Indemnity Fund the proportionate share of the employment insurance premium reduction set out in the Previous Local Agreement. Where the proportionate share is not expressed in the Previous Local Agreement, the employer shall remit monthly to the BCTF Salary Indemnity Fund an amount consistent with the past practice of the local parties. The amount remitted on behalf of any employee shall not be less than 5/12 of said reduction.

EI REBATE. Any amount payable to an employee as the result of a rebate of EI premiums shall be applied to help meet the costs of the Employer's share of premiums for benefits in this article.

A letter confirming the amount of this rebate will be sent to the Local President by March 31st of the following year.
EI REBATE. Under current Employment Insurance Regulations, the Board is allowed a reduction in its Employment Insurance premiums because of its Sick Leave Credit Plan 5/12 of the reduction is credited to the Members as a cash payment. The parties agree that the Member’s portion of the premium reductions shall be retained by the Board and will be applied as a portion of the Board’s contributions to wages and benefits agreed upon in this Agreement.
