Educational Development Fund. Effective January 1, 2025, an 19 educational development fund shall be established annually to provide 20 for non-mandatory paid education leave (including paid time, tuition, 21 expenses, and PNCC sponsored education offerings). The 22 Professional Committee (PC) will work collaboratively to identify 23 educational opportunities for nurses and ensure joint educational 24 offerings advance nursing practice are in alignment with the 25 Employer’s strategic direction and goals to include the commitment to 26 safe patient care. If a nurse chooses to attend an educational 27 conference that is funded with the educational development fund and 28 the ETO request is approved, once per year the nurse may elect to 29 utilize leave without pay instead of ETO for conference days that 30 otherwise would have been days worked.
