EARLY STARTS. The working day may start at 5.00 a.m. or at any other time between that hour and 8.00

When a musician is required to travel by air on a day of work, an early start payment will be made, dependent on the time at which the musician is required to check in, as follows: Check in (60mins before flight) between 07:30-08:30 £5.90 07:00-07:29 £8.85 06:30-06:59 £11.80 06:00-06:29 £14.75 Where the musician is required to check in before 06:00, the early call payment shall be replaced by an overnight stay payment of £63.10.

EARLY STARTS. 32.9.1 An Employee who commences work at or after 5.00am but prior to 6.00am Monday to Friday, except on a Public Holiday, will receive the additional payment of 30% more than the Ordinary Rate of Pay for the time worked up until 6.00am. The Ordinary Rate of Pay will apply thereafter.
EARLY STARTS. Where an employee is required to commence their ordinary hours of work at 5am on a non- permanent basis, it will be regarded as an early start. Payment for an early start shall be time and one half from 5am to 6am (being the time worked outside the span of ordinary daily hours as specified by clause 34 of this Agreement) with the remainder of ordinary hours paid at single time rates. Where an employee who commences their day at 5am is required to work overtime, the period between 5am and 6am will constitute the first hour of overtime. Provided that any employee may, in the event of a demonstrated personal need and for a limited time only, request in writing that their ordinary daily hours commence at 5am at single time rates. Details of such requests shall be retained by the employer.
EARLY STARTS. Any Employee who is called in before their regular starting time, either core hours or shift hours, shall be granted the opportunity of working out their regular day’s schedule. If this results in overtime for the week, it will be handled in accordance with the provisions of Article 13.
EARLY STARTS. If an employee is required to start a shift prior to 4:00 a.m., the employee shall be compensated at one and one-half (1 ½) times the employee's regular hourly rate of pay for all hours worked from the starting time to the normal start time.
EARLY STARTS. Where, on occasion, an official early start is required, no extra payment shall apply, but the normal finishing time after which overtime rates shall apply shall be brought back “pro rata”. The early start in this context is limited to an hour before normal working time.
EARLY STARTS. (a) When an early start is needed, the Company shall ask Employees/Dependent Contractors in seniority order if they are interested in starting their shift early. If the Employee/Dependent Contractor agrees, then this early start will be the commencement of the Employee's/dependent contractor's shift for that day. Overtime will be payable once the Employee has worked more than eight (8) hours.
