Driver’s Abstracts. If the Company requires driver’s abstracts the Company shall pay all costs involved. The foregoing shall not apply to newly hired employees who obtained a driver‘s abstract prior to the Company making an offer of employment to the newly hired employee.

The employee shall make all efforts to ensure that work vehicles and keys are accessible to the Employer in such circumstances. • Employees are required to accurately track and record vehicle mileage. Upon ratification of the collective agreement, Service technicians and relief service technicians shall continue to be able to take vehicles home at the end of their shift subject to the above conditions and any rules and procedures developed by the Labour Management Committee. As of April 7, 2016, the option for RSR’s to take their vehicles home will be discontinued. In recognition of the potential financial impact of this change, affected employees (Xxxx Xxxxx, Xxxx Xxxxxxxxxx, and Xxxx Xxx) may choose to relinquish the use at an earlier date consistent with the following ‘buy-down’ system: • If accepted by April 7, 2014: one-time lump sum payment of $2000. • If accepted by April 7, 2015: one-time lump sum payment of $1000. • If accepted by April 7, 2016: one-time lump sum payment of $500. The Company will obtain drivers abstracts from the Ministry of Transport, Ontario, at regular intervals and should the Company find a less than satisfactory condition prevailing on the employee's driving record that employee will be required to attend a hearing to determine the employee's fitness to remain on the driving staff of the Company. The Union will have a representative at such a hearing.
