DOMESTIC VIOLENCE LEAVE & DISCIPLINE PROTECTION. 40.01 The Company agrees to recognize that a Driver sometimes face situations of violence or abuse in their personal life that may affect their attendance or performance at work. For that reason, the Company and the Union agree, when there is adequate verification from a recognized professional (i.e. doctor, lawyer, counsellor, shelter worker), a Driver who is in an abusive or violent situation will not be subjected to discipline if work performance or absence can be linked to the abusive or violent situation.

For that reason, the Company and the Union agree, when there is adequate verification from a recognized professional (i.e. doctor, lawyer, counsellor, shelter worker), a woman who is in an abusive or violent situation will not be subjected to discipline if work performance or absence can be linked to the abusive or violent situation. Absences which are not covered by sick leave or disability insurance will be granted as an absence with permission without pay.

  • Domestic Violence Leave Domestic or Sexual Violence Leave will be granted in accordance with the Employment Standards Act as amended from time to time.

  • PICKET LINE PROTECTION 1. All employees covered under this Agreement have the right to refuse to cross or work behind a picket line unless same is declared illegal by the Labour Relations Board.

  • Employee Protection Nothing in this Agreement or otherwise limits Executive’s ability to communicate directly with and provide information, including documents, not otherwise protected from disclosure by any applicable law or privilege to the Securities and Exchange Commission (the “SEC”), any other federal, state or local governmental agency or commission (“Government Agency”) or self-regulatory organization regarding possible legal violations, without disclosure to the Company. The Company may not retaliate against Executive for any of these activities, and nothing in this Agreement or otherwise requires Executive to waive any monetary award or other payment that Executive might become entitled to from the SEC or any other Government Agency or self-regulatory organization.

  • Whistle Blowing Protection The Employer agrees to adhere to the whistle blowing protection pursuant to the Long-Term Care Homes Act (LTCHA).

  • Virus Protection The Bank is not responsible for any electronic virus or viruses that you may encounter. We suggest that you routinely scan your PC using a virus protection product. An undetected virus may corrupt and destroy your programs, files, and your hardware.
