Discrimination Prohibition. Discrimination on the basis of race, color, creed or religion, sex (including sexual harassment), marital status, affectional preference and/or sexual orientation, public assistance status, disability, age, national origin, veteran status, or political opinions, is prohibited. The Union shall share equally with the University the responsibility for applying this provision of the Agreement.
Discrimination Prohibition. The provisions of this Agreement shall be applied equally to all employees in the bargaining unit without regard to an employee's age, sex, marital status, affectional preference and/or sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, race, color, creed, or religion, national origin, political affiliation, Veterans' Status, public assistance status or because of a physical or mental disability. Every employee shall have the right to a workplace free from discrimination. The Union shall share equally with the Employer the responsibility for applying this provision of the Agreement.

No employee will discriminate against or harass any other employee or any student based upon race, color, sex/gender (this also includes gender identity), sexual orientation, religious creed, national origin, age, veteran status, disability, political affiliation, or marital status.

SCHOOL and UCLA agree not to discriminate in the selection or acceptance of any Student pursuant to this Agreement because of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, mental or physical disability, age, veteran's status, medical condition (cancer-related) as defined in section 12926 of the California Government Code, ancestry, marital status, or citizenship, within the limits imposed by law or University policy.
Discrimination Prohibition. The University shall not discriminate against any Xxxxxxx for his/her participation in union activities.

An employee serving an original probationary period may be terminated without recourse under this Agreement, including terminations for not successfully passing the applicable background screens. This provision does not allow for terminations based on unlawful discrimination (race/ethnicity, color, sex, religion, age, disability, genetic information or national origin), nor does it limit any legal remedies such an employee may have outside of this Agreement.

SCHOOL and AFFILIATE agree not to discriminate in the selection or acceptance of any TRAINEE pursuant to this Agreement because of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, mental or physical disability, age, veteran’s status, medical condition (cancer-related) as defined in section 12926 of the California Government Code, ancestry, or marital status; or citizenship, within the limits imposed by law or SCHOOL policy.
Discrimination Prohibition. Contractor shall not discriminate against Eligible Beneficiaries because of race, color, creed, religion, ancestry, marital status, sexual orientation, national origin, age, sex, or physical or mental handicap in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 42 United States Code (USC), Section 2000(d), rules and regulations promulgated pursuant thereto, or as otherwise provided by law or regulations. For purposes of this Contract, discrimination on the basis of race, color, creed, religion, ancestry, age, sex, national origin, marital status, sexual orientation, or physical or mental handicap include but are not limited to the following: denying any Eligible Beneficiary any Article 3 - General Provisions Sharp Health Plan 00-91035 Covered Service or availability of a Facility; providing to an Eligible Beneficiary any Covered Service which is different, or is provided in a different manner or at a different time from that provided to other Members under this Contract except where medically indicated; subjecting an Eligible Beneficiary to segregation or separate treatment in any manner related to the receipt of any Covered Service; restricting an Eligible Beneficiary in any way in the enjoyment of any advantage or privilege enjoyed by others receiving any Covered Service, treating an Eligible Beneficiary differently from others in determining whether he or she satisfies any admission, Enrollment, quota, eligibility, membership, or other requirement or condition which individuals must meet in order to be provided any Covered Service; the assignment of times or places for the provision of services on the basis of the race, color, creed, religion, age, sex, national origin, ancestry, marital status, sexual orientation, or the physical or mental handicap of the participants to be served. Contractor shall take affirmative action to ensure that Members are provided Covered Services without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sex, national origin, ancestry, age, marital status, sexual orientation, or physical or mental handicap, except where medically indicated. For the purposes of this Section, physical handicap includes the carrying of a gene which may, under some circumstances, be associated with disability in that person’s offspring, but which causes no adverse effects on the carrier. Such genes shall include, but are not limited to, Tay-Sachs trait, sickle cell trait, thalassemia trait, and X-linked hemophilia.
