Discrimination/Harassment Prohibited. The Company and the Union agree that discrimination and/or harassment of any Employee or Owner Operator because of colour, national origin, religion, age, marital status, sexual orientation, or disability is absolutely prohibited. Every Employee and Owner Operator has the right to work in an environment of mutual respect, free from discrimination and harassment including sexual harassment. Action contravening this policy will constitute grounds for discipline.

Sometimes, bullying can involve negative physical contact as well. Bullying usually involves repeated incidents or a pattern of behavior that is intended to intimidate, offend, degrade or humiliate a particular person or group of people. It has also been described as the assertion of power through aggression. Unlikely to involve physical violence, it usually takes the form of psychological abuse. Often, verbal and strategic insults are intended to prevent targets from being successful in their job.

The Company shall post conspicuously a policy regarding harassment and discrimination which is approved by the Union and the Company.

Discrimination/Harassment Prohibited. 19.01 The Employer and the Union recognizes and agrees that there shall be no discrimination, interference, restraint, harassment or coercion exercised or practiced by either of them or by any of their representatives. It shall be the right of employees to work in an environment free from harassment based on age, race, creed, national or ethnic origin, political or religious affiliation, sex, gender identity/expression, sexual orientation, marital status, same sex partnership status, physical disability, mental disability, conviction for which a pardon has been granted, union membership or participation in the lawful activities of the union. The Company and the Union further agree that bullying shall be dealt with in a serious manner and treated with the same severity and level of concern as discrimination and harassment.
