Common use of Discharge and Defeasance Clause in Contracts

Discharge and Defeasance. Subject to certain conditions, the Company at any time may terminate some or all of its obligations under the Notes and the Indenture if the Company deposits with the Trustee money or U.S. Government Obligations for the payment of principal and interest on the Notes to redemption or maturity, as the case may be.
