Disabled Veterans. When a disabled Veteran employee presents a statement from a medical authority that treatment is required, annual leave or sick leave will be granted, if available; otherwise, leave without pay will be granted. The granting of such leave is mandatory provided that the Veteran gives prior notice of definite days and hours of absence for medical treatment.

Disabled Veterans. Responsive to direction from the State Legislature (Public Contract Code Section 10115 et seq.), FORA is seeking to increase the statewide participation of disabled veteran business enterprises in contract awards. To this end, Consultant shall inform FORA of any contractual arrangements with consultants or suppliers that are certified disabled veteran business enterprises.

  • Family Illness Leave In the event of illness in the immediate family, an employee shall be granted up to three (3) days of absence without loss of salary to be deducted from sick leave. The immediate family shall be construed to mean father, mother, son, daughter, wife, husband, brother, sister, mother-in-law, father-in-law, son-in-law, or daughter-in-law. A statement from a responsible person other than the employee may be required as proof of illness.
