In the event of an injury or illness for which an employee is eligible and receiving a work disability benefit under the Michigan Workers’ Disability Compensation Law, such employee shall be provided salary payment which with the work disability payment equals two-thirds of the regular salary or wage for the first 50 weeks of disability. Leave credits may be utilized to the extent of the difference between such payment and the employee’s regular salary or wage.
