Dividends on ordinary shares Dividends on ordinary shares are recognised as a liability and deducted from equity when they are approved by the Company’s shareholders. Earnings and net assets per share The Company presents earnings per share (EPS) and net assets per share for its ordinary shares. Basic EPS is calculated by dividing the profit or loss attributable to ordinary shareholders of the Company by the weighted average number of ordinary shares outstanding during the period. Net assets per share is calculated by dividing the net assets attributable to ordinary shareholders of the Company by the number of ordinary shares outstanding during the period. Net assets for the purpose is defined as net equity.
