Directors' fees and other similar payments derived by a resident of a Contracting State in his capacity as a member of the board of directors or a similar organ of a company which is a resident of the other Contracting State may be taxed in that other State. In the case of a company which is a resident of Belgium, this provision shall also apply to payments derived in respect of the discharge of functions which, under the laws of Belgium, are regarded as functions of a similar nature as those exercised by a person referred to in the said provision.
