Denominational Service Clause Samples

The Denominational Service clause defines the requirement for services to be conducted in accordance with the beliefs, practices, or traditions of a specific religious denomination. In practice, this means that any ceremonies, rituals, or activities provided under the agreement must align with the doctrines and customs of the named denomination, such as Catholic, Baptist, or Methodist. This clause ensures that the services delivered meet the expectations and spiritual needs of the intended faith community, thereby preventing misunderstandings or disputes about religious conformity.
Denominational Service. Except to the extent limited in the Adoption Agreement, Denominational Service means a person’s completed years and months in the paid employment of a church or convention or association of churches with which the Employer is associated, and/or in the paid employment of an agency or organization that is exempt from tax under Code §501 and that is controlled by or associated with the church or convention or association of churches with which the Employer is associated. Denominational Service also includes all years of service by a duly ordained, commissioned, or licensed minister of a church. The Participant is responsible to inform the Employer of Denominational Service the Participant wishes the Plan to count.
Denominational Service. For purposes of this Section (D), if the Employer is a Church-Related Organization, Denominational Service counts as service with the Qualified Organization in determining a Year of 403(b) Service.
