Demerits. Unexcused absence from practice or ballgame results in 5 demerits and the dancer will attend, in uniform, but not be allowed to participate in any performance at the following game. (If a dancer leaves school early on the day of a practice or game, she must notify the sponsor that she will be absent, do not relay the message through another person. Remember: You cannot dance if you are counted absent on the day of the game.) • Being picked up late from practice or performance 1 hour or more. This could also result in dismissal from the team. Parents must be responsible for the child’s transportation. • Each unsatisfactory conduct grade. This will also will result in suspension from the following game or competition.

Demerits. Demerits may be given for infractions, minor or consistent of the Student Code of Conduct (ex., excessive talking, late to class, unprepared for class). While a student is on probation, he/she is not permitted to take part in XXXXx, field trips, special lunches, or any of the other events planned for middle school students. Demerits. A demerit is a consequence applied to an Exhibitor for violating these Rules and Regulations for Exhibiting. Demerits result in a loss of points for priority placement. If APTA in its sole discretion finds that the Exhibitor has violated any of these Rules and Regulations, it may in its sole discretion deduct points for priority placement from the Exhibitor, terminate this Agreement, and/or remove Exhibitor from the CSM.

Demerits. Demerits may be given by the artistic and/or administrative staff to Company Members for any of the following: (One demerit each infraction unless specked otherwise) • Inappropriate talking during class or rehearsal • Chewing gum during class or rehearsal • Not having splits on both sides • Non-compliance with the dress code identified above (including hair) • During class forgetting shoes, costumes, or accessories for rehearsals, dress rehearsals or performances • Leaving dressing rooms, studios and/or performance sites in an untidy/messy condition (i.e. clean up after yourself and respect others) • Tardiness from Company rehearsals and performances • Untidy hair/clothing/shoes • Violation of the behavior policy standards • Use of foul or inappropriate language • Unfriendly or disrespectful behavior to other Company members and/or instructors/staff (2 demerits per occurrence) • Not turning in an Unexcused Absence Form a minimum of two calendar weeks in advance of the event • Two (2) or more unexcused absences within a two (2) week period • Fourth unexcused absence and subsequent unexcused absences will be assessed 3 demerits Each infraction resulting in a demerit will require the dancer to stay and pick up and/or clean the studio after closing.
