The Union shall indemnify, defend and save the Township harmless against any and all claims, demands, suits or other forms of liability that shall arise out of or by reason of action taken by the Township in reliance upon salary deduction authorization cards as furnished by the Union to the Township, or in reliance upon the official notification on the letterhead of the Union and signed by the president of the Union advising of such changed deduction.

A copy of the written notice of the amount of the fair share assessment must also be furnished to the New Jersey Public Employment Relations Commission. H. The fair share fee for services rendered by the Association shall be in an amount equal to the regular membership dues, initiation fees and assessments of the Association, less the I. The sum representing the fair share fee shall not reflect the costs of financial support of political causes or candidates, except to the extent that it is necessary for the Association to engage lobbying activity designed to ▇▇▇▇▇▇ its policy goals in collective bargaining negotiations and contract administration, and to secure for the Employee it represents advances in wages, hours and other conditions of employment which ordinarily cannot be secured through collective negotiations with the Township. E. ▇. ▇▇▇▇▇ to January 1 and July 31 of each year, the Association shall provide advance written notice to the New Jersey Public Employment Relations Commission, the Township and to all Employees within the unit, the information necessary to compute the fair share fee for services enumerated above. K. The Union Association shall establish and maintain a procedure whereby any Employee can challenge the assessment as computed by the Association. This appeal procedure shall in no way involve the Township or require the Township to take any action other than to hold the fee in escrow pending resolution of the appeal. L. The Association shall indemnify, defend and save the Township harmless against any and all claims, demands, suits or other forms of liability that shall arise out of or by reason of action taken by the Township in reliance upon salary deduction authorization cards or the fair share assessment information as furnished by the Union Association to the Township, or in reliance upon the official notification on the letterhead of the Union Association and signed by the president President of the Union Association, advising of such changed deduction.

(R.S.) 52:14-15.9e 15, 94 as amended, and members shall be eligible to withdraw such authority during July of each year. B. A check-off Dues deductions shall commence for each employee who signs a properly dated authorization card, card supplied by the Union and verified by the Township Treasurer of the Union during the month following the filing of such card with the Township. All monies shall be forwarded to AFSCME Council 73 at Nottingham Village Square, ▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇-▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇. ▇▇., ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, ▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇County. C. In addition to the Check-Off Dues Deduction provided for above, pursuant to Assembly ▇▇▇▇ #688 enacted into law on or about February 28, 1980, effective the first full pay period following issuance by the County of retroactive pay due hereunder, the County agrees to deduct from the salaries of its employees subject to this Agreement but not members of the Union a representative fee in lieu of dues for services rendered by the majority representative, in an amount equal to eighty-five (85%) percent of the regular membership dues, fees and assessments paid by the members of the Union, less the cost of benefits financed through the dues and assessments and available to and benefiting only members of the Union. Such deductions shall be made in compliance with Chapter 310, Public Laws of 1967, N.J.S.A. (R.S.) 52:14-15.9(e), as amended. Said monies, together with records of any corrections, shall be transmitted to the Union Office by the fifteenth (15th) of each month following the monthly pay period in which deductions were made. G. The Union shall indemnify, defend and save the Township County harmless against any and all claims, demands, suits or other forms of liability that shall arise out of or by reason of action taken by the Township County in reliance upon salary deduction authorization cards as furnished submitted by the Union to the Township, County or in reliance upon resulting from the official notification on the letterhead of County's deduction and payment to the Union and signed by of its representation fee in lieu of dues as provided for above. H. In the president of monthly report to the Union advising office specified in Paragraph C above, the County shall provide, inter alia, the following: 1. A list of such changed deductionall employees terminating their employment during the previous thirty (30) days. 2. A list of all employees commencing a leave of absence during the previous thirty (30) days.

D. In the event that a pay period is missed by an employee for any reason, except termination of employment, then such deduction shall be made from the next pay period worked and so remitted. E. If there is any alternation in list of names of persons from whom dues are deducted, whether said alteration is an increase or a decrease in the number or amount of deduction, for any reason, the Union shall be notified by mail, at United Public Service Employees Union, at ▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, ▇▇▇▇▇ ▇, ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, ▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇, of the Union advising name of such changed deductionthe person and the reason for the said alteration.

The FOP shall indemnify, defend defend, and save the Township harmless against any and all claims, demands, suits or other forms of liability that shall arise out of or by reason of action taken by the Township in reliance upon salary deduction authorization cards cards, as furnished by the Union FOP to the Township, or in reliance upon the official notification on the letterhead of the Union FOP and signed by the president of the Union FOP advising of such changed deduction.
