Day Operator Work Assignment. The Day Operator work assignment will be posted within the Operating Department yearly and awarded to the most senior applicant. The day operator work assignment will be posted by November 15th of each calendar year and awarded by December 1st of the same year. The successful applicant will assume the work assignment in January of the following year to coincide with week one (1) of the shift operator schedule. Should no applicants post on the day operator work assignment, the water works operator with the lowest seniority will be assigned the day operator work assignment. This agreement is entered into without precedent or prejudice to any position taken by either party on any other matter in the future and shall remain in full force and effect for the duration of the current collective agreement.
