DATUM OR LEVELS Clause Samples

The 'Datum or Levels' clause defines the reference points or elevations that must be used throughout a construction or engineering project. It specifies the exact vertical or horizontal benchmarks, such as sea level or a designated site marker, to which all measurements and works must conform. For example, all floor heights, excavation depths, or structural elements are measured relative to this agreed datum. This clause ensures consistency and accuracy in measurements across the project, preventing errors and disputes related to misaligned or incorrectly referenced work.
