Data Annotations Clause Samples
The Data Annotations clause defines the requirements and standards for labeling, tagging, or otherwise annotating data within the scope of an agreement. Typically, this clause outlines the methods, formats, and responsibilities for adding metadata or descriptive information to datasets, which may include marking sensitive information, categorizing data types, or specifying annotation tools to be used. Its core practical function is to ensure consistency, accuracy, and clarity in how data is annotated, thereby facilitating effective data management, analysis, and compliance with relevant regulations.
Data Annotations. Upon the expiration of the Exclusive Evaluation ---------------- Period for each Project Data Set, CURAGEN shall furnish to BIOGEN reasonable descriptions of the Project Data Set to be included in the GeneScape(R) database with the Project Data Set. BIOGEN shall have a period of [XXXXXXXXXXXXXX] to review such descriptions and advise CURAGEN of reasonable objections. CURAGEN shall not include in the GeneScape(R) database any descriptions, or portions thereof, to which BIOGEN reasonably objects.

Data Annotations. Should CURAGEN elect to provide Project Data Sets to ---------------- third parties pursuant to 3.15 above, CURAGEN shall not be permitted to identify the Project Data Set as being from GW or annotate the Project Data Set with the date of sample submission by GW to CURAGEN.
