Dark Fiber Transport. An unactivated optical transmission facility within a LATA, without attached multiplexing, aggregation or other electronics, between Verizon switches (as identified in the LERG) or wire centers, that is provided on an unbundled basis pursuant to 47 U.S.C. § 251(c)(3) and 47 C.F.R. Part 51. Dark fiber facilities between (i) a Verizon wire center or switch and (ii) a switch or wire center of Cypress or a third party are not Dark Fiber Transport.
