Dancer Sample Clauses
Dancer. A person whose services are retained as a dancer and who performs a choreographic work.
Dancer. A Dancer who is not already a member of Equity or a member of another professional performing artists’ association or union shall not be required to join Equity, but shall be given the opportunity to do so. Should the Artist choose not to join Equity, the Engager shall deduct and remit to Equity an equalization deduction as determined and administered by Equity, such amount to be equal to the deductions applicable to a Regular Equity member. Notwithstanding the above, a Dancer shall be required to join Equity for any engagement, or combination of engagements, in any Season in excess of ten (10) weeks.

Dancer. A Dancer is an Artist engaged as a Performer in a non-speaking, non-singing capacity primarily to dance.

a) soloist: when dancing alone or apart from a group, for at least thirty (30) seconds or sixteen (16) bars;
b) duettist: when dancing as part of a duo;
c) chorister-soloist: when dancing apart from a group for less than thirty
Dancer when the person performs as part of an ensemble.
Dancer who accepts a Cover responsibility for a run of a production (a minimum of five (5) performances of a musical or operetta or six (6) performances of an opera in a Monday through Sunday week) shall receive two performance fees per performance week. This shall be compensation for covering all performances of such production for the week. DANCER is required to attend one performance of the production being covered, preferably the first performance. In the event the DANCER is required to perform the assignment, the DANCER shall receive an additional full per-performance fee for such performance.
