Daily Occasional Teachers. 13.01(a) The Board shall pay to daily occasional teachers in respect of each day of employment as a daily occasional teacher with the Board, the following applicable rate of pay which is inclusive of statutory and vacation payments, and for each half day of employment, one-half of the following applicable rate: Certificate of Registration and Qualifications from the Ontario College of Teachers, Interim or Restricted, Effective Sept. 1, 2016 98th Day 2016/2017 Step (1% increase) (0.5% increase) 1 (0 – 149 days) $220.20 $221.30 2 (150 or more) $224.95 $228.33 13.01(b) Effective September 1, 2001 an occasional teacher will advance one step, until maximum, on the applicable salary scale set out in Article 13.01(a) for such days worked as an occasional teacher with this Board and the occasional teacher will be placed on the salary grid as of September 1 of the school year based on the number of such days completed between September 1, 1985 and September 1 of the year in which the placement is made.
Daily Occasional Teachers who have taught in a school for a minimum of ten (10) days and have provided a minimum of five (5) days’ notice to the principal, shall be evaluated at the request of the Occasional Teacher during a period of time acceptable to both parties.

  • Long Term Occasional Teachers or teachers hired in term positions, shall be eligible for the SEB as described herein for a maximum of eight (8) weeks with the length of the benefit limited by the term of the assignment. Teachers on daily casual assignments are not entitled to the benefits outlined in this article.

  • Time Devoted Throughout the term of the Agreement, the Executive shall devote substantially all of the Executive's business time and attention to the business and affairs of the Company consistent with the Executive's senior executive position with the Company, except for reasonable vacations and except for illness or incapacity, but nothing in the Agreement shall preclude the Executive from engaging in personal business including as a member of the board of directors of related companies, charitable and community affairs, provided that such activities do not interfere with the regular performance of the Executive's duties and responsibilities under this Agreement.
