Cultural Awareness and Equal Opportunity. 15.1 All staff involved should be aware of the different requirements represented by different groups, such as any special needs in terms of language, sensory/physical impairment, literacy or other cognitive difficulties. 15.2 The service should be provided in a way that takes into account these issues and does not discriminate on the grounds of gender, race, disability, sexual orientation, religious beliefs or present lifestyle.
