Cross-cutting themes 1. The Parties agree that systematic account shall be taken of the following cross-cutting themes to inform action in all areas of cooperation: human rights, democracy, gender equality, peace and security, environmental protection, the fight against climate change, culture and youth. 2. The Parties shall cooperate to support capacity building to effectively address challenges and achieve the objectives set out in this Agreement. They shall aim to ▇▇▇▇▇▇ the strengthening of institutions, promote exchange of best practices and facilitate knowledge transfer and sharing. 3. The Parties shall strengthen the resilience of countries, communities and individuals, and particularly that of vulnerable populations, in the face of environmental and climate change-related challenges, economic shocks, conflicts and political crises and epidemics and pandemics.
Cross-cutting. If Wolmanized PWF Lumber or Plywood is cut, then this warranty will be valid only if two coats of end cut preservative containing a minimum of 2% copper metal have been applied to all of the cut ends of the Wolmanized PWF Lumber or Plywood.
Cross-cutting. Ineligible Activities include: (1) Any activity that is not eligible under section 105(a) of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended (for States) or under 24 CFR 570.201-207 (for local governments) is ineligible unless a waiver is obtained from HUD. See Authority section and Appendices A and E for more detail. (2) Any activity that does not meet a national objective under the requirements of Appendix A is not eligible unless a waiver is obtained from HUD. Note that general administration costs may not exceed more than 5 percent of any grant. This is not waivable. (5) Any activity that is not in compliance with applicable fair housing and civil rights laws and regulations. (6) Projects dependent on a contingent action to be effective or feasible, and projects which are not feasible and/or effective at significantly reducing the risk against the threat(s) and hazard(s) for which the project was designed. Note that you must describe the feasibility and effectiveness of your project in your response to Phase 2 Factor 3. A feasible project will demonstrate (either in the application materials or prior to HUD obligation of funds if HUD selects only a portion of your proposal for funding or for substantial amendments post award) conformance with accepted design practices, established codes, standards, modeling techniques, or best practices. (Note that CDBG-NDR grantees are responsible for complying with national objective requirements and make a certification acknowledging that responsibility and covering the entire grant. An infeasible and ineffective project design will not provide the benefit proposed in your application to meet a CDBG-NDR national objective and justify project costs.)
