Creating/modifying/reviewing records. During data entry, the foremost decision of the mobile user is to decide whether they are working on new or existing records. Creating new instances of a questionnaire should be an easy task (adding a new blank record to a data table and assigning a unique key). Modifying an existing record is a two-step process: first the user must locate the record based on a unique key, ID, name or other identifying information, and second the system should provide enough information for the user to confirm that the correct record has been chosen. Reviewing an existing record follows the same process as modifying, with the exception that access is limited to “read only”.
