Coverage and Eligibility. 19.1.1 All employees in the bargaining unit shall be eligible for hospitalization and medical insurance for themselves and all of their eligible dependents under Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield, which provides benefits at the same or higher level as were provided under the New York State Employees Health Insurance Plan pursuant to the 1983-1985 contract. The City will borne the full cost for employees employed before January 1, 1986. Employees hired after January 1, 1986 shall pay 10% of the cost of the Plan for single coverage, and 25% of the cost of the Plan for family coverage.
