Couriers. (a) Each Chinese designated travel agency may appoint up to two persons to act on its behalf and account as couriers in the necessary visa application process for Chinese tourist groups wishing to visit the territory of the Community. The couriers are entitled to submit visa applications for such groups to the embassies or consular offices of Member States in China;

The objects shall be preserved in the condition in which they were received and the best possible protection be guaranteed at all times. The Borrower may not make any changes to the loan(s) without the Lender’s prior written consent. Except in an emergency, the works may not be moved or re-hung without the Lender’s permission. The Lender shall prepare a Condition Report which shall accompany the loan(s) and which the Borrower shall check, and if necessary complete, upon the arrival of the loan(s). The Condition Report shall be signed both upon receipt of the loan(s) and at the end of the exhibition and shall be returned with the object(s). Should the Lender not be able to provide a Condition Report, the Borrower shall prepare such a report after unpacking the loan(s). The Lender must be informed without delay of any changes in the condition of the loan(s).

The Lender shall prepare a condition report which is to accompany the object and which upon arrival of the object(s) must be completed by the Borrower. Should the Lender not be able to provide a condition report the Borrower will prepare such a report when unpacking the loan(s) on his premises. If any changes in the condition of the loan(s) be noted the Lender must be contacted without delay. Version B Installation must be handled by qualified professional art handlers supervised by the Lender’s staff and trained for action in emergencies. Works packed in climate-controlled crates must be stored for acclimatisation for at least 24 hours. Empty crates shall be stored in a secure climate and temperature controlled indoor storage area, protected from moisture, pollution, fungus and vermin. For acclimatization they should be delivered to the galleries 24 hours before re-packing begins. The Borrower may not make any changes to the condition of the property. The works must not be moved or re-hung or re-installed without permission from the Lender except in an emergency. Couriers. 13.1 Couriers designated by Charterer will be permitted to accompany cargo on flights in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration’s regulations without additional charges when necessary for protection of cargo or aircraft. Contractor/Carrier will refuse passage to any person whose condition in the judgment of the Contractor/Carrier will involve hazard or risk to himself or other persons or cargo, or who is not in possession of proper identification, visa or passport.

Either when the installation or the repacking is to begin, the Borrower shall, with the Lendeťs courier, check the condition of each Artwork against the condition report and the possible differences in the former and current statě of the Artwork shall be recorded in the condition report. The Borrower’s representative and the Lender’s representative will be asked to sign the condition report, which also serves as an acknowledgement of receipt. The Lender’s courier shall háve the authority to withdraw items from display where the stipulated requirements háve not been met. Experienced technical staff must install the Artwork. The installation and the deinstallation should only také plače under the supervision of the Lendeťs courier.
