COUNTY RIGHTS a. All County rights and functions, except those which are expressly abridged by this Agreement, shall remain vested with the County.
COUNTY RIGHTS. It is the exclusive right of the County to direct its employees, take disciplinary action for proper cause, relieve its employees from duty because of lack of work or for other legitimate reason, classify and reclassify positions, and determine the methods, means, and personnel by which the County's operations are to be conducted; provided, however, that the exercise and retention of such rights do not preclude employees or their representatives from consulting about the practical consequences that decisions on these matters may have on wages, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment. Nothing contained in this provision shall be deemed to supersede the provisions of existing State law and the ordinances and rules of the County which established the Civil Service System.
COUNTY RIGHTS. County retains, solely and exclusively, all the rights, powers and authority exercised or held prior to the execution of this Agreement, except as expressly limited by a specific provision of this Agreement. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the rights, powers, and authority retained solely and exclusively by the County and not abridged herein, include, but are not limited to the following: To manage and direct its business and personnel; to manage, control, and determine the mission of its departments, building facilities, and operations; to assign, repair, inspect, and retrieve County property and space; to create, change, combine or abolish jobs, policies, departments and facilities in whole or in part; to subcontract or discontinue work for economic or operational reasons; to direct the work force; to increase or decrease the work force and determine the number of employees needed; upon reasonable suspicion of impaired ability on the job, to require employee physical examinations and tests endorsed by a physician and paid for by the County; to hire, transfer, promote, and maintain the discipline and efficiency of its employees; to establish work standards , schedules of operation and reasonable work load; to specify or assign work requirements and require overtime; to schedule working hours and shifts; to adopt rules of conduct (including acceptable dress standards) and penalties for violation thereof; to determine the type and scope of work to be performed by employees and the services to be provided; to take action deemed necessary to provide for the safety of employees and clients; to classify positions; to establish initial salaries of new classifications after notification of the Association; to determine the methods, processes, means, and places of providing services and to take whatever action necessary to prepare for and operate in an emergency.
COUNTY RIGHTS. 1. The County retains, consistent with applicable laws, certain management rights which include the exclusive right to determine the methods, means, and personnel by which County Government operations are to be conducted, as well as to exercise complete control and discretion over its organization, operations, and technology of performing its work; to determine the mission, function and necessity of all or part of each of its constituent departments, boards and commissions and take all necessary actions to carry out their mission, functions and necessity, or any part thereof, as well as set standards of service to the public.
COUNTY RIGHTS a. The rights of the County include, but are not limited to, the exclusive right to determine the mission of its constituent departments, commissions and boards; set standards of service; determine the procedures and standards of selection for employment and promotion; train, direct, and assign its employees; take disciplinary action; relieve its employees from duty because of lack of work or for other legitimate reasons; maintain the efficiency of County operations; determine the methods, means and personnel by which County operations are conducted; determine the content of job classifications; take all necessary actions to carry out its mission in emergencies; and exercise complete control and discretion over its organization and the technology of performing its work; provided, however, that the exercise of such County right shall not conflict with the express provisions of this Agreement. The County has the right to make reasonable rules and regulations pertaining to employees consistent with this Agreement.
COUNTY RIGHTS. The Union recognizes that the County has the full authority and responsibility for directing its operations and determining policy. The County reserves unto itself all powers, rights, authority, duties and responsibilities conferred upon it and vested in it by the statutes of the State of Illinois, and to adopt and apply all rules, regulations and policies as it may deem necessary to carry out its statutory responsibilities; provided, however, that the County shall abide by and be limited only by the specific and express terms of this Agreement, to the extent permitted by law.
COUNTY RIGHTS. 8.1. Except to the extent expressly abridged by a provision of this Agreement, the County retains to itself solely, exclusively, and without limitation, all rights, privileges, powers, and authority conferred upon the County by law. Such rights, privileges, powers, and authority shall include, but shall in no way be limited to, the following:
COUNTY RIGHTS. The COUNTY shall retain the exclusive right to determine the style, color, material, identifying patches, badges and the specifications of any authorized and officially designated uniform, to include any equipment utilized by an employee to perform and accomplish their authorized official duties.
