Common use of CONTRARY TO LAW Clause in Contracts

CONTRARY TO LAW. Should any article, provision or application of this Agreement to any employee or group of employees be declared unlawful by a court of competent jurisdiction, said article, provision, or application, as the case may be, shall be automatically deleted from this Agreement to the extent that it violates the law. The remaining articles, provisions and applications, however, shall remain in full force and effect for the duration of the Agreement. The Association agrees that it will abide by the provision of Title 6, Subtitle 5 of the Education Act of the Annotated Code of Maryland.
