Contractor’s General Responsibilities. The Contractor is solely responsible for implementing the Work in full compliance with all applicable laws and the Contract Documents and shall supervise and direct the Work using the best skill and attention to assure that each element of the Work conforms to the Contract requirements. The Contractor is solely responsible for all construction means, methods, techniques, safety, sequences, coordination and procedures. The Contractor is responsible for having visited the Site and having ascertained all pertinent local conditions such as existing subsurface concealed conditions, location, accessibility and general character of the Site or building, the character and extent of existing work, the character and extent of existing work within adjacent sites, and any other work being performed thereon at the time Contractor’s bid or proposal is submitted.
