Continuity of Instruction. The superintendent shall attempt to arrange the work schedule of custodians and maintenance personnel to avoid the interruption of instruction. In the case of construction work scheduled during the school day, the Superintendent shall attempt to arrange such construction work to be done in a manner as to avoid undue interruption of instruction, but not so as to impose undue costs. The parties acknowledge that with the OSFC construction process, unavoidable interruptions will occur.
Continuity of Instruction. The Board and the Union recognize that stability of the instructional program is in the best interest of children. Disruption of educational programs can be avoided by strategies to provide for continuing instruction.
Continuity of Instruction. In order to provide a continuity of instruction, teachers are to make no commitments which conflict with the established school calendar, including provisions for inclement weather between the opening and closing of school without prior approval from the Superintendent.
Continuity of Instruction. Insofar as no emergency situation exists in connection with pregnancy or childbirth leave, teachers who contemplate taking such a leave are encouraged to make a reasonable effort towards insuring continuity of instruction for the students by scheduling the departure and return so as to coincide with the end and beginning, respectively, of a semester or grading period.
