Common use of Continuation of Coverage Clause in Contracts

Continuation of Coverage. There shall be no liability whatsoever on the part of the Employer for any insurance premium payment for an employee who is on a layoff or unpaid leave of absence beyond the month such layoff or leave of absence commenced except as required by law or another section of this contract. An employee who is not on the County’s payroll (hours actually worked, vacation time, or personal time) is considered to be on a leave of absence.
