Content and concept filtering. In this subsection, we will introduce the main filtering techniques that are applied within LinkedTV from a bird’s-eye view (cf. Figure 3). In Section 3, we will describe the tools and services in detail. LSF, as a technical implementation of the LinkedTV Semantic Filtering, aims to provide an efficient and scalable system for content and concept filtering, based on user models. While in principal capable of working with arbitrary OWL-based ontologies and their derived user models, LSF’s research focus has been focusing on the user models created in the LUMO-rel ontology, i.e., work with explicitly given user interests. See Section 3.1 for details on the implementation.
