Common use of Consecutive Absences Clause in Contracts

Consecutive Absences. Any Governing Committee Member who is absent for three consecutive regular meetings without excuse may, by resolution duly adopted by a majority vote of the remaining Governing Committee Members, be deemed to have forfeited his or her position as Governing Committee Member and that Member’s position shall be vacant. Forfeiting a Governing Committee Member position pursuant to this Section 1.g. of Article VIII shall be effective immediately unless otherwise provided in the resolution. Any successor shall be selected in the same manner as the appointment for the forfeited Governing Committee Member position.
