CONFERENCES AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT. The parties to this Agreement recognize that attendance at professional or scientific conferences, symposia workshops and other gatherings of a similar nature constitutes an integral part of an employee’s research activities and that attendance and participation in such gatherings is recognized as an element in the conduct of scientific research or professional development. **
CONFERENCES AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT. The District shall allocate $1,675 on an annual basis to each Principal and $1,200 to each Assistant Principal. These funds will be budgeted in the Principal’s budget and coded separately from those funds allocated to the building. Unspent funds may be carried over for use in subsequent years to a maximum equal to three (3) years.
CONFERENCES AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT. EMPLOYEE agrees to attend any conferences or professional development as directed by the COUNTY. If such events are outside the County, EMPLOYEE shall be compensated for conference fees and travel in accordance with the County’s travel reimbursement policies. COUNTY shall not be obligated to pay any professional association dues or membership fees on behalf of EMPLOYEE.
CONFERENCES AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT. The Committee shall annually reimburse the Superintendent for attendance and expenses (i.e. fees, lodging and/or transportation) of professional conferences held out of state, seminars and conferences in state, publications, dues from groups not expressly mentioned herein, courses, or other professional development activities, up to $2,500 in any fiscal year upon submission of written voucher for the same. Expenses exceeding $2,500 for the fiscal year must be approved by the Committee. Approval shall be based in part on the whether the proposed professional development activity is aligned to the Superintendent's annual goals and/or the Committee's goals for the school district. Registration and lodging for the MASS Summer Institute and MASS/MASC Annual Joint Conference, as well as the registration only for the MASS winter and spring meetings, aggregate total not to exceed $2,000 per fiscal year, shall be paid by the Committee and shall not be charged against the aforementioned annual reimbursement for conferences. Expenses exceeding $2,000 for the fiscal year must be approved by the Committee. The Superintendent shall also complete the MASS Induction Course for new superintendents either prior to or during the 2015-2016 school year. The Committee agrees to assume responsibility for the tuition and cost of course materials, as well as any mileage pursuant to 1l(a) above. The cost shall not be counted against the aforementioned annual reimbursement for conferences. The Committee shall approve any additional expenses associated with the course.
CONFERENCES AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT. A. Employees may be granted time off, at the sole discretion of the Library Director, to attend professional meetings and conferences.
CONFERENCES AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT. The Superintendent may attend the annual convention of the MASS and the American Association of School Administrators and such other professional meetings that the Superintendent and Committee agree upon.

  • Training and Professional Development C. Maintain written program procedures covering these six (6) core activities. All procedures shall be consistent with the requirements of this Contract.

  • Professional Development 9.01 Continuous professional development is a hallmark of professional nursing practice. As a self-regulating profession, nursing recognizes the importance of maintaining a dynamic practice environment which includes ongoing learning, the maintenance of competence, career development, career counselling and succession planning. The parties agree that professional development includes a diverse range of activities, including but not limited to formal academic programs; short-term continuing education activities; certification programs; independent learning committee participation. The parties recognize their joint responsibility in and commitment to active participation in the area of professional development.

  • Continuing Professional Development The Official Agency shall provide appropriate training for staff performing official controls, enabling them to undertake their duties competently and to carry out official controls in a consistent manner, as per legislative requirements. The Official Agency shall identify training needs for staff performing official controls and ensure that staff carrying out official controls are kept up to date in their area of competence and develop specialised expertise, in partnership with the Authority and other Local Authorities. While the provision of training is the primary responsibility of the Official Agency, the Authority may provide training interventions where the Official Agency has highlighted areas where training is required. The Authority will endeavour to facilitate networking and collaboration with other Official Agencies to assist in improving knowledge in such areas. The Authority will provide e-learning resources and training for official control staff so as to promote a consistent understanding and application of new legislation, guidance or procedures, as appropriate. The Official Agency shall support participants in using e-learning resources, disseminating knowledge or skills acquired and encourage the application of learning gained through the Authority’s training in official control activities. The Official Agency shall ensure that contractors used in the performance of the Service Contract provide evidence of Continuous Professional Development and Compliance with this section. Where staff from the Official Agency need to travel outside the Official Agency functional area to attend training courses/meetings, this shall be facilitated by the Official Agency. The Official Agency in partnership with the Authority shall develop and implement training programmes for all staff engaged in the performance of the Service Contract. Where staff have participated in Better Training for Safer Food (BTSF) the training content shall be disseminated to relevant staff/contractors in the Official Agency and other local authorities in partnership with the Authority.

  • Professional Development Leave A. Policy. Professional development leave shall be made available to employees who meet the requirements set forth below. Such leaves are granted to increase an employee's value to the University through enhanced opportunities for professional renewal, educational travel, study, formal education, research, writing, or other experience of professional value, not as a reward for service.

  • Professional Development Program (a) The parties agree to continue a Professional Development Program for the maintenance and development of the faculty members' professional competence and effectiveness. It is agreed that maintenance of currency of subject knowledge, the improvement of performance of faculty duties, and the maintenance and improvement of professional competence, including instructional skills, are the primary professional development activities of faculty members.

  • Professional Development Plan Professional Development Plan (PDP) refers to plans developed by faculty members addressing the criteria contained in Article 22 and Appendix G.

  • Local Professional Development Committee 1. The Local Professional Development Committee (LPDC) shall be established to oversee and review professional development plans pursuant to ORC 3319.22.
