Speaker Name (First and Last) will receive complimentary conference registration for both November 5th and 6th to include access to all programming and the XXXX Annual Virtual Trade Show. Presentation Details: Speaker Name (First and Last) warrants and represents that the presentation, slides, and related materials are factually accurate and contain no matter libelous or otherwise unlawful. Speaker Name (First and Last) further warrants that such presentation, handouts, and related materials are either the Speaker’s own original work or available for use without permission because they are in a public domain. If materials utilized in the presentation are not the Speaker’s own original work or in a public domain, they are either presented with the permission of the originator/owner of the material, or are believed to be within the “fair use” exemption of copyright law which includes use for purposes of criticism, news reporting, commentary, teaching, and research. Speaker Name (First and Last) authorizes the XXXX to use his/her name, likeness, photograph, and biographical data in connection with the use and promotion of the Presentation. Speaker Name (First and Last) must refrain from selling any materials/products or otherwise engaging in any promotional activity within the context of the lectures or sessions at which he or she is presenting. Cancellations: Speaker Name (First and Last) may cancel (his or her) appearance at the Event without penalty, provided that XXXX receives written notice of such cancellation by no later than August 15, 2020. If the Speaker Name (First and Last) cancels (his or her) appearance after the August 15, 2020, the Speaker will be responsible for all pre-arranged travel and/or accommodation costs (including any additional penalty costs). If XXXX cancels the Event or the Speaker Name (First and Last)’s session(s), XXXX will not be responsible for payment of any honorarium or appearance fee that the Speaker would have received pursuant to this contract. Conference Registration. All conference speakers receive a complimentary registration to the conference which provides access to all conference proceedings from Thursday, June 4 to Saturday, June 6. Speakers are registered by CPS once the speaker agreement form is received. This step ensures receipt of your conference badge, which you will need to access session rooms and conference functions. You will be provided a password by CPS staff to update your registration with sessions you wish to attend. Speakers must pay for additional costs outside of usual registration fees such as social events or the simulation- based workshops. Travel Arrangements Air travel is covered for invited speakers when booked through Plus Travel Group, the only CPS designated travel agency. Travel arrangements made by any other means will not be reimbursed by the CPS. CPS will be billed directly from Plus Travel Group for your air travel. For speakers outside Canada and the U.S., see International travellers below. The most economical means of travel available must be booked. To take advantage of the best fares, contact Plus Travel Group at least 30 days before booking a flight. Not booking within this 30-day period means a speaker will pay the difference for any higher fare. Also, if the cost of an airline ticket exceeds $850, the speaker may be asked to use a complimentary (comp) ticket.
