Concrete Deck Repair. Existing bridge concrete deck shall be repaired prior to the surface preparation and application of the PPC overlay, at locations shown in the plans or as determined by the Engineer, if necessary. Such locations may be repaired with PPC. Materials, equipment, surface preparation, placement, and finishing of PPC used for deck repairs shall meet the requirements of this provision. PPC repair material may be placed up to one (1) hour prior to overlay placement. Spalled or unsound areas of the deck shall be removed down to sound concrete at the locations noted in the contract plans or as directed by the Engineer. Use the following surface preparation equipment: • Sawing equipment capable of sawing concrete to a specified depth. • Power driven hand tools for removal of concrete are required that meet the following requirements: - Pneumatic hammers weighing a nominal 15 lbs (7 kg) or less. - Pneumatic hammer chisel-type bits that do not exceed the diameter of the shaft in width. • Hand tools such as hammers and chisels for removal of final particles of concrete. Prior to any construction, take the necessary precautions to ensure debris from bridge deck preparation and repairs is not allowed to fall below the bridge deck. Remove existing spalled or unsound areas of the bridge concrete deck by methods approved by the Engineer. Provide a 1” deep saw cut around the perimeter of areas noted for bridge deck removal, as shown on the contract plans or as approved by the Engineer. Remove, by chipping with hand tools, all concrete within the sawcut to a minimum depth of 1” and as necessary to remove unsound concrete. Use a small chipping hammer (15 lb. class) to prepare the repair area to limit micro fractures. All loose and unsound concrete shall be removed. In overhangs, removing concrete areas greater than 0.60 ft2/ft length of bridge will require overhang support. Submit the overhang support method to the Engineer for approval. Care shall be taken not to cut, stretch, or damage any exposed reinforcing steel. Dispose of the removed concrete. If the condition of the concrete is such that deep spalls or sheer faces result, notify the Engineer for the proper course of action. Clean, repair, or replace rusted or loose reinforcing steel. Thoroughly clean the newly exposed surface to be free of all grease, oil, curing compounds, acids, dirt, or loose debris.   • Punch List If, at any time after the Project has been Physically Completed, there shall exist any item or items requiring completion or correction, then the Developer agrees to use all reasonable diligence to complete or correct such item or items so that each conforms to the Final Plans. The parties shall make a Punch-List of the items requiring completion or correction (the "Punch List"). Each item on the Punch-List shall be assigned a reasonable value based upon the reasonable cost of completion or correction of the same or such other value as may be required by the Owner's lender ("Punch-List Amount"). The Developer shall give its written undertaking to complete each such item within forty-five (45) days (or such other period of time as is mutually agreed upon by the parties).

  • Building Commissioning Services The Owner may provide as a part of its testing services the Building Commissioning services involving the project’s HVAC and exhaust systems, temperature control systems, fire detection and alarm systems, emergency power and lighting system, fire suppression system, security locks and security locking control systems, food service equipment (if applicable), and laundry equipment (if applicable). In the event the Using Agency’s Program specifies additional commissioning services, the Owner shall procure such services as well. The Owner, through its Executive Administrator, may engage an independent Commissioning Authority. It is the intent of this Article that the Commissioning Authority enforce the requirements mentioned herein and certify that the systems and equipment listed all function properly prior to the initiation of each final inspection.

  • Tenant Improvements Subject to the terms and conditions hereof, Landlord agrees, at its cost and expense to complete a “turnkey” interior build-out (“Tenant Improvements”) of the Leased Premises in accordance with the conditions stated in the Work Letter attached hereto as Exhibit C and incorporated hereby pursuant to the Approved Final Plans to be finalized and approved in accordance with the Work Letter and upon approval attached thereto. Any changes or modifications to the Approved Final Plans thereafter must be done in writing and signed by both Tenant and Landlord in accordance with the Work Letter. So long as in accordance with Article 19 of this Lease, Tenant agrees that Landlord shall be entitled to select, in its reasonable discretion and acting in good faith, all architects, engineers, contractors and material suppliers necessary to furnish the labor and materials for the construction of the Tenant Improvements. Landlord shall be the sole contracting party with respect to the employment of contractors which perform the work necessary to construct the Tenant Improvements. Tenant shall not be entitled to access to the Leased Premises prior to the Date of Substantial Completion and Tenant shall not interfere with or impair in any material way the construction of the Tenant Improvements, and any such interference or impairment shall be included within a Tenant Delay as defined in the Work Letter and shall entitle Landlord to all remedies provided herein for breach of this Lease. Prior to the Possession Date, Tenant shall not enter into any contract for construction of any improvements within the Leased Premises with any person other than Landlord without Landlord's prior written consent. Tenant, at Tenant's expense, shall obtain and maintain any and all necessary permits and licenses to enable Tenant to conduct Tenant’s Permitted Use, and the failure of Tenant to obtain or maintain same shall not in any manner affect the Tenant’s obligations hereunder. Landlord shall be solely responsible, at its cost and expense, for obtaining all permits and approvals related to the Tenant Improvements.

  • Installation, Maintenance, Testing and Repair Unless otherwise agreed in writing by the Parties, to the extent required by Applicable Law, Interconnection provided by a Party shall be equal in quality to that provided by such Party to itself, any subsidiary, affiliates or third party. If either Party is unable to fulfill its obligations under this Section 14.2, it shall notify the other Party of its inability to do so and will negotiate alternative intervals in good faith.   • WORK CLOTHING 1. The State shall continue to furnish foul weather gear and work clothing, such as aprons, smocks, shop coats, lab coats, coveralls and boots to employees furnished such clothing in the past. The State shall be responsible for continuing to provide laundering of work clothing where such service is being provided as of the effective date of this Agreement.

  • WORK CLOTHES The employer shall provide all necessary work clothes (coveralls, work shoes or equivalent, and insulated coveralls, winter coveralls and rain gear as needed), as well as safety equipment, including personal safety gear. Work clothes and safety gear provided by the company are the property of the company. When a new set of work clothes is provided, the worn set shall be handed in. Used safety equipment as mentioned above shall be properly cleaned before being reissued.

  • Construction Manager’s Fee The following shall be deemed included in the Construction Manager’s fee for services during the Construction Phase.
