Compensation Pay. (a) Employees shall receive directly from WorkSafeBC (WSBC) any wage loss benefits to which they may be entitled. (b) While an employee is in receipt of WSBC wage loss benefits, paid holidays, and vacation will not accrue. However, unused vacation credits accrued, prior to the absence, shall not be lost as a result of this article. (c) Where an employee has been granted sick leave and is subsequently approved for WSBC wage loss benefits for the same period, the employee shall reimburse the Employer for all money paid to or on behalf of the employee. Any sick leave credits used shall be reinstated to the employee upon full repayment. (d) Employees qualifying for WSBC coverage shall not have their employment terminated during the compensable period. Such employees shall be considered as being on an unpaid leave, except that seniority shall continue to accrue based on regular hours.
