Compensation Pay. Upon the expiration of the maximum duty injury leave period, employees shall be eligible to receive workers compensation pay, in the manner and to the extent such is provided and required by applicable law. The terms, conditions, procedures and requirements set forth concerning “Duty Injury Leave Certification and Approval” and “Duty Injury Leave Release”, shall also apply with respect to requests and claims for workers compensation pay. Benefits while on workers compensation leave shall accrue for the first six (6) months only.
