Compensation for Holidays. (F/T)
(a) Full-time Employees shall be paid for the above holidays on the basis of eight (8) hours at the regular straight time hourly rate. (P/T)
(b) Part-time Employees shall be paid for the above holidays on a pro-rated basis, that is, by multiplying the average duration of shifts over the preceding four (4) weeks by the regular straight time hourly rate.
Compensation for Holidays. Holiday pay shall be equivalent to the number of hours usually worked per day. Unit members shall be entitled to specified holidays and Board-granted holidays with pay, providing the holiday falls during their normal work week and during their assigned work calendar year and they are in paid status during the working day immediately before and/or the working day immediately after the holiday.
11.2.1 If a unit member/s is/are required by their supervisors to work on a holiday, they shall receive their regular rate of pay and, in addition, one and one-half (1-1/2) times their regular rate of pay for working on a holiday. If unit members do work and are paid overtime for working on a holiday, they shall not receive an additional day off.
11.2.2 Should a holiday or Board-granted day off occur while a unit member is absent from work because of paid sick leave, vacation, or other paid leave of absence, the holiday shall be considered as time worked and shall not be deducted from the unit member’s other paid leave of absence.
11.2.3 If a unit member is assigned to a scheduled work day that deprives him/her of a holiday to which he/she would otherwise be entitled, the unit member shall be provided a substitute holiday within his/her normal work schedule and where possible, within the work week the normal holiday occurred.
11.2.4 If a holiday falls on other than an assigned work day during the term of the unit member’s work calendar, he/she shall be provided with substitute hours of holiday leave within the normal assigned work days, if possible during the week in which the holiday occurs. If the holiday falls on an assigned work day, he/she shall receive prorated holiday leave and may take earned vacation leave or earned compensatory time for any additional hours required to fill the rest of the day. If no leave time is available, the unit member’s salary shall be reduced at his/her regular hourly rate for the hours not earned.
11.2.5 Notwithstanding the provisions of this article, bargaining unit members shall have the right to refuse to work on any holiday provided for in this Agreement with the exception of Campus Police Department personnel who will be assigned holiday coverage on a rotational basis.

Compensation for Holidays. A full-time employee whose assigned work schedule includes neither the scheduled holiday nor the observed holiday, shall receive 8 hours of compensatory time. All other full-time employees whose regular assigned work schedule includes either the scheduled holiday or the observed holiday shall receive 8 hours at their base hourly rate of pay.
Compensation for Holidays. Full-time and part-time employees shall receive holiday pay for all authorized holidays at their current hourly rate, not to exceed eight (8) hours for any one (1) day, provided they are in a pay status for the full day on their regularly scheduled work days immediately preceding and following the holiday. Part-time employees shall be entitled to receive holiday pay in proportion to the percentage of full-time hours worked during the biweekly pay period which includes a holiday. The Department Head may approve holiday pay when an employee has insufficient sick leave accruals as required to maintain paid status for the full day immediately preceding and following the holiday, provided the employee will use at least twelve (12) hours of sick leave or the maximum number of hours required in the coordination of SDI during the pay period that includes the holiday.
Compensation for Holidays. 5.3.1 When the holiday falls on a Saturday or a Sunday, the holiday shall be observed (as appropriate) on either the preceding or following day that is not also a holiday.
5.3.2 To receive pay for a holiday, the bargaining unit member must have been in full- paid status on their last regularly scheduled workday preceding or succeeding the holiday.
Compensation for Holidays. All eligible employees shall receive holiday time for the thirteen (13) holidays provided for in this Article, except as provided in Section B., above, whether or not the holiday is worked. The decision pertaining to the method of payment for the holiday, which can either be paid in straight-time compensatory time off or in actual straight-time pay, shall be at the sole non-grievable discretion of the University.
a. An eligible full-time, non-exempt employee shall receive eight (8) hours of holiday time, regardless of his or her work schedule.
b. An eligible part-time, non-exempt employee shall receive proportionate holiday time, up to the maximum of eight (8) hours per holiday as provided in Section C.1. above. Such holiday time is calculated on the number of hours in pay status in the month (for monthly paid employees) in which the holiday falls, or the two (2) pay periods immediately preceding the pay period in which the holiday occurs (for bi-weekly paid employees).

A permanent employee, including a permanent part-time employee, who is normally scheduled to work on the day a holiday falls shall receive the regular pay as if the day had been a work day. A permanent employee, including a permanent part-time employee, who is not scheduled to work on the day on which a holiday falls shall receive holiday compensation proportional to the number of hours he or she is regularly scheduled to work during the pay period (for example, an employee who works half, or 50% of the time but does not work on Thursdays would receive half a day's pay for the Thanksgiving holiday; an employee who works four days a week, or 80% of the time, but does not work Mondays, would receive 80% of a day's pay for Monday holidays).
ii. The effective date of a permanent employee's separation from Judicial Branch service shall be the last workday of actual performance on the job. If it is a calendar day immediately preceding a day observed as a holiday, the effective date of separation shall be the workday observed as a holiday.
iii. Permanent employees shall receive their regular compensation for holidays.
A. Permanent employees required to work on New Year’s Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving day, or Christmas shall be paid their normal holiday compensation plus one and one-half times their normal hourly rate for each hour worked.
B. Permanent employees required to work on Town Meeting Day, Bennington Battle Day or any administrative holiday declared by the Chief Justice shall be paid their normal holiday compensation plus their normal hourly rate for each hour worked.
C. Permanent employees required to work on the Day After Thanksgiving shall receive their normal day's pay plus compensatory time off on an hour for hour basis for each hour worked. An employee whose regularly scheduled day off is Friday and does not work on the Day After Thanksgiving shall receive compensatory time off instead of normal holiday compensation.

While on Personal Leave, FMLA, CFRA Leave, or Pregnancy Disability Leave (PDL), an employee will not be entitled to holiday pay.
Compensation for Holidays. Employees covered by this Agreement who do not work on the holidays hereinbefore designated, and who meet the eligibility requirements hereinbefore set forth, shall be compensated for such holiday prorated on an equal hourly basis as compared to their regular assigned hours at the straight time hourly rate, excluding premiums, of the particular employee.
