COMPASSIONATE TRANSFERS. The Company and the Union agree to deal compassionately with Cabin Personnel who may, in exceptional circumstances, require a temporary transfer to a base other than the base to which they were contractually assigned. Such temporary transfers may be granted to an employee for up to three (3) months. Requests for compassionate transfers shall be in writing to the Local Union and Base Manager at the employee's present base with a signature from the Local Union at the new Base. Any dispute will be resolved at the Component Executive and Labour Relations Headquarters level. When a transfer is approved under Article, the employee's rights at the new base will be as follows. An employee assigned to another base as per Article may be transferred out of seniority order. All transfers shall be done within an employee's classification.The purpose of a compassionate transfer is not to fill a permanent vacancy. Cabin Personnel on compassionate transfer shall take their vacation with them to their new base. If the vacation bid period occurs during the compassionate transfer, Cabin Personnelshall bid in their base. The employee will absorb all costs associated with any moves. The on-going justification for all Compassionate transfers will be reviewed monthly by the Local Union and Base Managers involved. I' The Company recognizes the importance of handling Union business such as grievances, negotiations, attendance at Union meetings at various levels, including the importance of the role of Union officers in carrying out the functions of Union business.
COMPASSIONATE TRANSFERS. 23-1.01 A Flight Attendant may, in exceptional circumstances and for compassionate purposes, request a temporary transfer to a base other than the base to which they are assigned. Such temporary transfer requests may be granted by the Company to a Flight Attendant for a period of up to six (6) months and may be extended by mutual agreement.
COMPASSIONATE TRANSFERS. 13-2.01 An Employee may, in exceptional circumstances and for compassionate purposes, request a temporary transfer to another Base. Such temporary transfer requests may be granted by the Company to an Employee for a period of up to six (6) months.
13-2.02 Requests for compassionate Base transfers shall be made in writing to the Union and Company and will provide information to support the request.
13-2.03 If a transfer is approved by the Company under this 13-2, the conditions of the temporary transfer will be as follows:
a) The Employee may be transferred out of seniority order.
b) All transfers shall be done within the Employee’s position and/or status. The purpose of a compassionate transfer is not to fill a permanent vacancy. If the position and/or status held by the Employee is not available in the other Base, they will be offered a different position and/or status if they are qualified and compensated at the applicable rate/step for that classification for the duration of the temporary transfer.
c) Employees who are approved for a compassionate transfer will have their awarded/assigned vacation/Statutory Holidays transfer with them, subject to operational requirements. If it is not possible to honour the previously awarded/assigned vacation, the Employee shall be contacted by the local workforce planning team to select new blocks from the available vacation blocks. If the vacation bid period occurs during the compassionate Base transfer period, the Employee will bid in their original Base.
d) The Employee will be responsible for all costs associated with any relocation.
13-2.04 If a compassionate Base transfer request is not approved, the Company will notify the Union in writing with the reason(s).

COMPASSIONATE TRANSFERS. Lateral transfers or voluntary demotions may be granted, without posting for the following reasons (prior to such transfers discussions will be held with the Joint Labour-Management Committee):
(1) compassionate or medical grounds to regular full-time employees who have completed their probationary period;
(2) all employees who have become unable to perform their regular duties due to industrial injury or industrial illness;
(3) handicapped or ill family members who require attention that is unavailable in the immediate area. On relocation to the new seniority block an employee who transfers pursuant to (1) through (3) above will take all of his seniority with him to the new block.
COMPASSIONATE TRANSFERS. 31.1. The Employer will consider, on a case by case basis, requests from Employees for transfers based on compassionate grounds.
COMPASSIONATE TRANSFERS. Any documents provided by Cabin Personnel to support the request for a compassionate transfer will be shared with both the Component President and the Company. Compassionate transfers are subject to the approval in writing of the Company and the Union. Decisions will then be communicated to the Employee in writing. Where two or more Cabin Personnel have their names on the statement of preference list, the Cabin Personnel, in order of seniority, will be allowed to exchange Bases and the transfer shall be approved by the Company. Such Base exchange shall not create a vacancy. Each Employee shall be entitled to a maximum of seven (7) Days without pay, every three (3) years, free from all duty to report to their new Base, and any moving costs shall be as per Clause
COMPASSIONATE TRANSFERS. Where a teacher, executive or principal has exceptional and compelling circumstances requiring their relocation to another school they may apply for a compassionate transfer under Section 51A of the Teaching Service ▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇. These may be medical, environmental or personal circumstances or extraordinary circumstances as determined by the Executive Director, Public Schools NSW. An application should be made on the Application for a Section 51A Transfer on Compassionate Grounds form and forwarded to the Executive Director, Public Schools NSW through the principal and Director, Public Schools NSW. Such temporary transfers may be granted, subject to operational requirements, to a Cabin Crew Member for up to three (3) Months. Extensions are subject to b), c) and d) of this Article.
b) Requests for compassionate transfers shall be in writing to the Union and the Inflight Services Department Head.
c) Any documents provided by Cabin Crew to support the request for a compassionate transfer will be shared with both the Union and the Company.
d) Compassionate transfers are subject to the approval in writing of the Company and the Union. Decisions will then be communicated to the Cabin Crew Member in writing.
