Communicating with Students. Unsatisfactory Basic Proficient Distinguished The instructional purpose of the lesson is unclear to students, and the directions and procedures are confusing. Communicating with Students. The communication is accessible. – ALL electronic communications between staff and students shall be considered a matter of District record and part of the District archives, and shall be accessible by District administrators and others.
Communicating with Students. It is the practice of the college to use Oakton’s email system (at the ▇▇▇▇▇▇.▇▇▇ domain) as a primary means of contact with employees and for faculty to use in communicating with students. During any term in which an adjunct faculty member is teaching, it is expected that responses to messages by email or within the learning management system will be timely. It is understood that in some circumstances, messages may require an expedited response to facilitate and support teaching and learning. Instructors are advised to include information in their syllabi explaining their policies for responding to student messages. During any term in which an adjunct faculty member is not teaching, it is their responsibility to check their ▇▇▇▇▇▇.▇▇▇ mailbox regularly and to respond to messages as needed.
Communicating with Students. When you communicate by email with students, University policy requires that you communicate through their Carleton email account. Your students may tell you that they have another address that they would prefer you use. Let them know the policy and tell them that they can forward their mail from their Carleton account to their regular mail if they so wish. You may also be communicating with students through the CULearn Teaching system. There are options for group discussion groups and for posting information. It is essential to ensure that all communication is professional in tone and that any course information that is posted is cleared by the course Instructor.

One semester prior to completion of the designated associate’s degree, participating STCC students will submit a signed and completed DHE MassTransfer Enrollment form to the WSU Office of Admission, along with a copy of their STCC Presidents’ MassTransfer Participation form and all additional required application documents. Upon receipt of all required application documents, qualifying students will receive a formal letter of acceptance to the Presidents’ MassTransfer program from WSU, provided space remains available in the linked bachelor’s degree program.
