Commitment to M/WBE Participation. Walnut agrees to direct its contractors and their applicable sub-contractors in all Walnut Projects and to use best efforts to meet the current M/WBE participation goals and guidelines adopted by the City. Additionally, Walnut agrees to direct its contractors, applicable sub-contractors and participating Unions to utilize employees and provide preference for new hires, when feasible, who are local to the neighborhood.
